Bright Grey celebrates Investors in People gold status
23 April 2010

Staff at Edinburgh based insurance provider, Bright Grey, are celebrating after it was awarded Investors in People (IIP) gold standard following a recent assessment.

IIP is a national standard which aims to increase the productivity of the UK economy by helping organisations achieve success by engaging their people. To reach the standard an organisation must show that it is committed to improving the learning and development opportunities for all employees.

Achieving IIP standard was an aim of Bright Grey's employee engagement programmes which are designed to improve the way people are led, managed and developed throughout the company.

Ross Ainslie, Managing Director for Bright Grey said:

"We are delighted to have been awarded IIP status and to win a gold award at our first assessment is a huge achievement. The award is testament to a real team effort and input from colleagues across the Royal London Group.

"Our people are at the heart of our business and our challenge now is to keep on improving the organisation as a great place to work for all our people, which in turn will help us to deliver better customer service."

Laura Peacock, Corporate & Public Sector Consultant at Investors in People said:

"For Bright Grey, the rationale behind working with Investors in People was always about improvement, creating excellence and ensuring they were doing their best for and with their people. IIP was never about a badge or a logo, rather about ensuring that the organisation was performing as well as possible both for its people and its customers."
