Wednesday, 25 November 2009
Scottish Life, the pensions specialist arm of the Royal London Group, has announced that Steve Bee, Head of Pensions Strategy, will be leaving on 20 January.
John Deane, Chief Executive of Scottish Life, said:
"They say that all good things must come to an end and Steve has been a very good thing for Scottish Life. We'd like to thank him for all he's done during his time with us. Steve has helped Scottish Life become a major player in the market, with real product innovation and an excellent service proposition. We'll be giving him a good send off when he goes, with our very best wishes for the future."
Steve Bee said:
"It was an incredibly difficult decision that I had to take to leave Scottish Life after over 12 years with the business. I can't think of any other provider company that would have given me the freedom and the support to do what I've been doing. I've had some really memorable times, especially 'on the road', meeting IFAs throughout the UK and discussing pensions with them.
"At the present time I can't say anything about the new job I'll be starting in January except that it's a new venture, which is very exciting for me, and it's not in any way a competitor of Scottish Life.
"I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few weeks, completing my commitments here and also saying my farewells to colleagues. I'll be wishing them every success for the future and I'm absolutely sure that Scottish Life will continue to build on the many successes it's achieved in recent times."
