Corporate responsibility
It‘s good for our employees. It‘s good for our customers. It‘s good for the environment.
At Royal London we concentrate our efforts in corporate responsibility (CR) in four main areas; the environment, the community, the marketplace, and our people. This follows the Business in the Community (BITC) model.
We also have CR champions in each area of the business to help increase awareness and involvement across the Group.
Policy & Reports:
- Our CR Policy sets out our approach to managing our responsibilities to employees, suppliers, the environment, the companies in which we invest and the communities in which we operate.
- This CR report provides more detail on our activities under each pillar of our CR programme from January 2010-September 2011
SenseAbility is our regular e-zine which gives everyone working at Royal London an update on the CR activities around the Group.
Looking after our environment
We operate with integrity, creating awareness and endeavouring to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions, water usage, and waste. We are continually looking at innovative was to reduce our impact on the environment.
Adding value in the community
We are committed to remaining loyal to our local communities, creating opportunities, providing support and regeneration.
Supporting our marketplace
We are committed to putting our customers first and making sure we continue to improve our services
Investing in skills and our people
We encourage our workforce to be part of the change making process. We value our people, encouraging growth, new skills and development. We also encourage a healthy and happy working environment.
We have made good progress in each of these areas during the year.
