Royal London UK Strategic Growth Trust celebrates its 2nd year of strong performance

The Royal London UK Strategic Growth Trust has enjoyed a strong second year since its launch on 1st June 2006, achieving a return of 8.63% p.a.* since inception, outperforming the UK All Companies sector average by 3.51% p.a.* and achieving a 14th percentile sector ranking.

Managed by experienced Citywire A rated Mid Cap Fund Manager, Leigh Himsworth, the fund invests primarily in FTSE Mid 250 companies, with tactical exposure to larger and smaller cap stocks as market conditions change.

Leigh's stock picking style is to seek undervalued stocks where there is a catalyst for change and a reason for an upwards re-rating. This is set against a macro-economic overlay that aims to ensure that selected stocks perform well in their current environment.

RLAM Head of Sales, Stan Bland commented:

"The fund has been a great success since its launch in June 2006, significantly outperforming the sector average and FTSE Mid 250 (ex IT) index. Leigh has consistently proven his ability to identify attractive stock opportunities in the mid cap arena, building a fund that can make the most of today's volatile market conditions. We continue to see strong interest in this fund among wholesale investors and see it as a key part of our highly competitive UK equity fund range."

Leigh Himsworth added:

"I have been pleased with the fund's strong performance over the past two years, especially given the turbulence we have seen in UK equity markets.

Going forward, I will continue my high conviction approach to stock picking, seeking undervalued stocks with high growth potential in the diversified mid cap arena."
