The BeeHive, Scottish Life's online pensions bible, celebrates seven years since its inception with a revamp to reflect its evolution into a modern pensions info-portal. The site, which was launched in 2000 and is written by Steve Bee, Head of Pensions Strategy, is a library of information and incisive commentary on the UK (and sometimes international) pensions scene.
The BeeHive regularly attracts over 15,000 visitors a month to Steve's regular 'BeeLines' which are dedicated to demystifying pensions. More recently, the site has introduced podcasts, under the title of 'Pensions Radio', featuring interviews with various key opinion leaders in the industry, such as pensions campaigner Ros Altmann, Nigel Waterson, the Shadow Minister for Work and Pensions and Conservative front bench spokesman on pensions; Lawrence Churchill, Chairman of the PPF; Malcolm Small, the Chairman of the Pensions Network; and Danny Alexander MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary for Work and Pensions.
Steve Bee said:
"Pension issues remain a key concern for companies, IFAs and the man in the street. The BeeHive, BeeLines and new podcasts aim to explain in simple terms what is often an unnecessarily complex subject and we hope that the new format of the site will make it even easier for visitors to access the information they're looking for."
