Royal London, the UK's largest mutual life and pensions company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Aujard as Group Legal Director and Company Secretary.
Chris will be responsible for legal matters across the Group, heading-up a team of nine lawyers. He joins from Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander, having held a variety of senior roles in the banking and insurance sectors. He is an Australian with law degrees from Cambridge and Monash (Melbourne) Universities.
Stephen Shone, Group Finance Director, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Chris to the team. I'm sure his experience within the financial services industry will prove invaluable as we drive the business forward."
Chris takes over from Murray Ross, the original author of Ross: Commercial Leases and a member of the Law Society's Audit Committee, who is retiring after 13 years with Royal London.

1 Chris Aujard will report to Stephen Shone, Group Finance Director and a main board director of Royal London. Stephen Shone also has responsibility for the Corporate Development function within Royal London Group.
