Scottish Life, the pensions specialist arm of the Royal London Group, has launched a new range of Human Resources (HR) policy and procedure templates, suitable for small and medium-sized companies.
The new templates, which form part of Scottish Life's award winning employee benefits administration system, works4you, are a package of seven pre-prepared policies and procedures covering issues such as equal opportunities and health and safety. Available through IFAs, they will be supplied free of charge to new Retirement Solutions schemes that subscribe to works4you. In addition, they will be offered to existing works4you holders on a controlled roll out.
Mark Polson, Head of Corporate Business at Scottish Life, commented:
"It is a legal requirement to have certain HR policies and procedures in place, but many small and medium-sized businesses do not have the time or resources to develop and maintain these policies and procedures. By offering compliant, up-to-date policies and procedures, we hope to help protect employers from potential legal action on account of non-compliant policies and to save them time that could be better spent on building their businesses.
"There are many companies which already provide HR services, but we have not been able to find evidence of any pensions company offering anything similar to this HR policy and procedures template service, especially free of charge. As the templates are available through IFAs, they can decide exactly what information is useful and relevant to their clients, giving them a real opportunity to add value to their customers. This is a further example of Scottish Life's commitment to supporting IFAs."
