Martin Currie, the specialist investment management business based in Edinburgh, has extended the range of their funds made available through Scottish Life International's offshore bond the Personal Investment Management Service (PIMS).
Investors can now access a range of Martin Currie's funds within the PIMS wrapper including the recent additions of the Martin Currie Japan Alpha and Global Alpha funds.
Commenting on the expansion to the fund choice, Mike Fulton, Scottish Life International's Investment Marketing Manager, said, "We are constantly looking to enhance our offering and the addition of these new funds broadens investors' and advisers' choice when creating portfolios within PIMS. The Protected Investment Management Service (PIMS) is an offshore portfolio bond which can hold a wide range of collective investments, cash and protected funds and also offers the option of PIMS Insurance which locks in gains on a six-monthly basis preserving the estate value against unexpected market falls when the investor dies. Investment returns may fluctuate and are not guaranteed. The price of units can go down as well as up.
