Royal London's PPFMs

As well as a series of guides for policyholders Royal London has three PPFMs:

  • The Royal London PPFM
    This covers all with profits policies issued by Royal London including those originally issued under the United Friendly and Refuge Assurance brands. It also covers with profits business written under the Scottish Life brand from 1 July 2001. This includes increases in regular premiums or additional lump sum premiums ("top ups") made from 1 July 2001 to Scottish Life with profits policies issued before that date.
  • The Scottish Life PPFM
    This relates to with profits business written in the Scottish Life fund before 1 July 2001. This is now a closed fund. Increases in regular premiums or additional lump sum premiums ("top ups") made from 1 July 2001 to these policies are invested in the Royal London fund so the principles and practices detailed in the Royal London PPFM will apply to these premiums.
  • The PLAL With-Profits Sub-Fund PPFM
    This is a closed fund which relates to with profits business previously with Phoenix Life Assurance Limited.

Notes

  • The Royal London & Scottish Life PPFMs were first published on 30 April 2004.
  • We first published the PLAL with profits sub-fund PPFM on 29 December 2008 following the transfer of business to Royal London.  Previous PPFMs were published by Phoenix Life Assurance Limited.
  • We published new versions of the PPFMs on 31 December 2009.
